Hot Death

Hot Death

Hot Death is a variation of the classic card game, Uno.

This is a labor of love for me, as I have enjoyed the original Hot Death Uno for many years. I wish I had more specifics about who invented it, but I first saw it in electronic form in the mid 90s, as a Visual Basic application for Windows. I ported it to Pocket PC in the early 2000s, and now it is here for Android.

  1. I’ve made my own decks of this game since the late ’90’s. We love playing it. Can you please see about doing a multiplayer game for iOS? Thanks!

    1. I’m assuming that you’re using a Samsung (maybe an S7?). They don’t use the “soft” buttons on them. On phones with soft buttons, a “three dot” menu icon be added to the button bar, so you can still get to the menu. On my S7, I found that you can get to the menu by long-pressing the back button. Not exactly obvious, I realize, but at least there’s something you can do.

      1. Hi, there used to be this workaround, but at a certain point, after an Android version update, it also stopped working. Please please please, update HD! This is one of the best games ever! I think we fans deserve this.
        Thanks!

  2. I was playing a game and was ejected along with another player and the two remaining players are in a never ending loop with the same cards over and over. Hot Death/virus/delayed blast/draw4/holy defender/retailation/delayed blast. Over and over. What are the odds that happened…interesting

  3. The opponents don’t play the eye as soon as possible (as it’s the worst card in whole game)
And sometimes, imagine that I have the MAD card, and is my only Yellow card and only number 1 card (and no special cards) – the game let me draw one card but forces me to play the MAD instead of passing…
Other things are great, just put the option to put our name and opponents name 🙂

  4. It’s not available on Google Play Store any longer! Why? I have MAJOR addiction to this game! Any way to install otherwise? Maybe a APK file?
